Pelicart help
Delivery and what didn't come
Your groceries go to the delivery address on your store account, which you can change in the store’s app or by asking Pelicart. If a store has no saved address, Pelicart can’t shop there. Send Pelicart a full address or add one in the store’s app. After delivery, Pelicart tells you what didn’t come.
Change the address
Name a saved address, or type a new one in full (number, street, suburb and city) so your groceries don’t go to the wrong place:
deliver to home
deliver to 34 kloof st, gardens, cape town
This changes the address at your default store unless you name another, like “deliver to work at woolies”. To see your saved addresses, ask “what addresses do i have saved at checkers?”
How stores handle addresses:
- Pick n Pay addresses have no nicknames, so name the street, like “34 Kloof Street”.
- Each store keeps its own address. A new address can mean a different branch, with different prices and stock.
- A typed address has no delivery instructions and can drop the unit or complex name. For a flat, complex or estate, save the address in the store’s app, then ask Pelicart to use it.
After you check out
On delivery, Pelicart sends one message listing what didn’t come and what the store substituted. The message has two blind spots:
- If the store marked an item as sent, Pelicart can’t tell it’s missing.
- If Pelicart can’t tell whether an item was replaced or left out, it lists it as substituted.
Set backups before checkout to choose what replaces out-of-stock items.
