Pelicart help
Your stores
Pelicart fills carts in your own Woolworths, Checkers Sixty60 and Pick n Pay accounts. Link one, two or all three.
Link a store
To link a store, ask Pelicart to connect it:
connect pick n pay
Tap the button and sign in on the form inside WhatsApp. It takes about two minutes (how your login is kept safe). Linking copies your past orders, so the things you usually buy come up first (shopping history).
Pelicart won’t shop a list you sent before linking until you ask, like “ok, do that list now”. If it’s been more than 2 hours, send the list again instead.
If you don’t have a store account yet, sign up first:
| Store | Where to sign up |
|---|---|
| Woolworths | woolworths.co.za in your phone’s browser, not the Woolworths app (it asks for your ID number) |
| Checkers Sixty60 | The Sixty60 app, not the website |
| Pick n Pay | The Pick n Pay asap! app or pnp.co.za |
If you don’t get a “connected ✅” message, send /status. If the store isn’t connected, ask for the button again. If the form says “This card has expired”, ask Pelicart for a new button.
For help linking, book a free setup call: online, or in person at Workshop17 on Kloof St, with a Kleinsky’s bagel on Pelicart.
More stores and your default
To add another store:
connect another store
The store you link last becomes your default, and anything that doesn’t name a store goes there. To change it:
switch back to woolies from now on
Name a store to use it for one request, like “get milk from checkers”. Your default doesn’t change. To always buy something at one store, save a preference like “always get my meat from woolies”.
One list, more than one store
To shop one list at more than one store, say which items go where:
from woolies: kale and milk. from checkers: eggs
Or name two stores for one request, like “a chocolate cake, from pick n pay and woolies”. Each store gets its own cart and receipt, and you check out at each one in its own app.
When your message names more than one store and one doesn’t have an item, Pelicart gets it at the other and tells you. To see which store is cheaper, read comparing prices.
Disconnect or reconnect
To disconnect a store:
disconnect my woolies account
Pelicart deletes your saved login for that store. Your preferences and copied order history stay unless you delete your account (commands). To use a different account at the same store, disconnect, then link again.
Stores sometimes sign Pelicart out without warning. You’ll find out when Pelicart says the store isn’t connected, or /status shows “Not connected”. To reconnect:
reconnect my woolies
Reconnecting a store makes it your default, as linking does. To switch back, say something like “switch back to checkers from now on”.
