Pelicart help
Tips for better results
Pelicart fills your cart straight away instead of asking questions. It adds your usual product or its best guess, and only checks when one word could mean different products. So put the brand, size, type and quantity in your message:
clover full cream milk 2l
If it picks the wrong thing, say what you want instead, like “swap the white bread for sourdough”.
Numbers count items, not packs
“4 avocado” gets you 4 avocados, loose or a 4-pack. “beyond burgers x2” gets one pack of 2 or more. Say “packs” or “boxes” when you mean whole packs, as in “2 boxes of beyond burgers”.
Handwritten lists
Pelicart reads handwritten lists best in dark ink, one item per line, photographed in good light. For several pages, send all the photos first and your instruction last:
[3 photos of your shopping list]
buy all of this
Save instructions you repeat
If you keep saying “free range”, save it as a preference:
from now on always get free range eggs
Coming back later
After 2 hours with no messages, Pelicart starts a fresh conversation and can’t see earlier messages. Resend the list rather than saying “add the rest of that list”. Your preferences, carts, linked stores and order history stay.
If Pelicart says something odd
Pelicart sends these messages when it’s busy or stuck:
| If Pelicart says | Do this |
|---|---|
| “On it” | It’s still working. Don’t resend: Pelicart handles later messages once it’s done. |
| “I hit my limit on that one, try something more specific.” | Too big for one go, but what Pelicart added stays in your cart. Ask “what’s in my cart”, then send the rest in smaller messages. |
| “something went wrong on my end. mind trying that again?” | Send it again. If it keeps happening, say “speak to a human” for a link to a person. |
